    - Obama was known as “Barry” in his youth, but during his college years, asked to be addressed with his given name.
    - His election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review gained national media attention and led to a publishing contract and advance for a book about race relations, which evolved into a personal memoir. The book, “Dreams from My Father,” was first published in 1995 and re-published in 2004.
    - It is expected that Obama’s 2012 financial disclosure could show his net worth to be as much as $10 million.
